We’re proud to partner with a well-established, highly respected company in the heart of the beautiful Hampton Court area, currently seeking a multi-talented Accounts/Customer Service Representative who thrives in a varied and fast-paced role. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys rolling up their sleeves, wearing multiple hats, and being a key player in both the finance function and day-to-day business operations.
📚 Your Key Responsibilities:
This is a dual-function position combining Finance with Customer Service/Technical Administration. You’ll report to the Managing Director, work closely with the Accounts Manager, and liaise with an external accountant.
📞 Customer Service & Technical Administration:
- Be the friendly and knowledgeable point of contact for customers
- Respond to queries by phone and email in a professional and helpful manner
- Manage sales order processing and assist with general sales admin
- Identify and implement customer-facing tech solutions (e.g. WhatsApp chatbots, automated systems) to boost efficiency and productivity
- Support digital transformation efforts with enthusiasm and initiative
💼 Finance & Accounts Support:
- Prepare monthly management reports, VAT returns, and annual accounts
- Maintain ledgers, monitor budgets and spending, and perform variance analysis
- Prepare cash flow forecasts, cost-saving recommendations, and performance reviews
- Oversee invoice processing, prepayments, accruals, reconciliations (GBP/EUR/USD), and payment allocations (Shopify, Amazon, PayPal)
- Perform credit control, manage payroll journals (processed externally), and process staff expenses
- Review vendor agreements and contribute to strategic financial planning
- Use Sage and advanced Excel to maintain high accuracy and financial insight
🧠 Requirements:
- Experience in a similar finance/accounting role
- Strong working knowledge of Sage and advanced Excel
- Excellent organisational skills and self-motivation
- Ability to think creatively and suggest improvements
- Comfortable in a varied role and confident communicating across all levels
- Tech-savvy and excited about implementing smart tools and systems
