Part Time Sales, 6 month contract initially (Remote/Home Working)
IT IS ESSENTIAL THAT YOU LIVE IN THE SURREY/MIDDLESEX AREA AND WITHIN A FEW MILES FROM KINGSTON AS YOU WILL BE REQUIRED TO VISIT CLIENTS IN THIS VICINITY
This is a part-time (20 hours per week) position of a temporary nature of up to 6
months with reviews at 1 month and 3 months. This may lead to a further
extension or conversion to a permanent position if successful and viable
Duties and Responsibilities
New business development:
Research the market for new opportunities for company products in the UK. Approach these prospects to bring in new orders and begin a long-term trading relationship with clients. Manage these clients going forward to gain further/repeat orders. Market focus on retail (large and small), distribution and hospitality. Visit existing hospitality outlets to offer support. Social media role, using company platforms to promote the brand and support customers/clients.
Reporting directly to the director/owner, you will work independently from home/remotely and provide regular updates. In-person progress meeting, likely to be fortnightly.
A self-starter, able to work diligently and conscientiously on your own. Professional appearance and nature with excellent English skills. You will reflect the professional premium nature of the brand you are selling. Excellent numeracy, able to think quickly in terms of numbers and use spreadsheets and databases. You must be resilient as you will be working in a tough industry where you will experience setbacks as well as successes.
Customer-facing role experience particularly on a business-to-business basis
Private-sector commercial experience essential
At ease when communicating/negotiating with customer businesses
